Do you own a PS5? If your PS5 Turns On By Itself, you’re not alone. A number of users have reported this issue.

In this blog post, we’ll show you how to fix the issue if it happens to your console. So, if you’re experiencing this problem, stay tuned! We’re going to help you get things back up and running in no time.

How to Fix PS5 Turns on By Itself?

If you’re experiencing this issue, don’t worry-you’re not alone. Several PS5 owners have reported that their consoles turn on by themselves, even when they’re in Rest Mode. Thankfully, there are a few things you can try to fix this problem.

    Check for System Updates

First, make sure your PS5 is up to date by checking for system updates. To do this, go to Settings > System > System Software Updates and install any available updates.

    Update The System Software

If your PS5 is still turning on by itself after updating the system software, try restarting the console in Safe Mode. To do this, press and hold the power button for at least 7 seconds until you hear a second beep. Then, select Restart PS5 in Safe Mode from the menu that appears.

Once your PS5 is in Safe Mode, select Option 4: Change Resolution and check if the issue persists. If it does, try Option 5: Enable HDCP and see if that fixes the problem.

    Enter the Low-Power State

If that doesn’t work, you can try opening up your PS5’s settings menu and going to the “Power” section.

From here, scroll down to the “Power Saving Settings” subsection and turn off the “Enable Rest Mode” option. This will disable the feature that allows your PS5 to enter a low-power state when not in use, which should hopefully stop the console from turning on by itself.

    Reset the System

First, make sure that your PS5 is completely turned off and unplugged from the power outlet. Once it’s been turned off for at least 30 seconds, plug it back in and turn it on again. This should reset the system and hopefully stop the random power-ups.

If your PS5 continues to turn on by itself even after trying these troubleshooting steps, you may need to contact Sony for further assistance.
