Are you considering applying for Canadian Immigration through express entry? If so, in this blog post we will quickly go over the entire process of applying for Canadian immigration through the Express Entry system. With that said, let’s get started!
What is Express Entry?
Express Entry is an online system created by the government of Canada to facilitate and manage applications for Canadian immigration. The system assesses applicants based on their skills, experience, education, and language ability in order to determine who should be invited to apply for permanent residency (PR).
To be eligible for Express Entry, you must meet certain criteria:
– You must have a valid job offer from a Canadian employer or have recently graduated from an educational program in Canada;
– You must meet the criteria of one of the three federal economic programs – Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP) or Canadian Experience Class (CEC);
– Your occupation must be listed on the National Occupation Classification (NOC) list.
How to Apply for Express Entry?
To apply for express entry in Canada, we usually recommend working with a Canada express entry consultant as they will help you throughout the entire process and ensure that your application is filed correctly. With that said, here are the steps to apply for express entry:
Step #1 – Setup Your Profile
The Express Entry system is the most popular way for many to apply for Canadian immigration. The process begins with creating a profile in a secure online portal, known as the Express Entry Pool. Your profile will include information about your age, education, language proficiency, work experience and other factors that will be used to determine if you meet the eligibility requirements for one of the Canadian immigration programs.
Step #2 -Receive ITA for Permanent Residence
Once your profile has been created, you will be placed in a pool of candidates who are eligible
to receive an invitation to apply (ITA) for permanent residence in Canada. Candidates can also increase their chances of receiving an ITA by increasing their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score before submitting their profile to the Express Entry Pool.
Step #3 -Submit Application for Permanent Residence
When you have been invited to apply, you will receive an email from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) with instructions on how to submit your application for permanent residence in Canada. You must include all necessary documents when submitting your application, so be sure to read the instructions carefully and supply all information required. Once you submit your application, it will be assessed against the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) criteria based on factors such as age, education, language proficiency and work experience. If accepted by IRCC, you may be issued a permit for Canadian permanent residence.
Step #4 -Patiently Wait for Approval of your Application
The entire process of applying through Express Entry can take up to six months or longer depending on various factors. It is important to consider both your current circumstances and future goals when applying for Canadian immigration through Express Entry, since the process can involve a significant time commitment.
Conclusion
In conclusion, by taking the time to understand the requirements of Express Entry, you will be better equipped to navigate the system and improve your chances of receiving an invitation to apply for permanent residence in Canada. Good luck!
