Do you have a Fitbit? If so, you may be wondering how to activate the water lock on Fitbit. Fitbit smartwatches come with a lot of interesting features. One of them is the water lock mode. A lot of users aren’t aware of this feature nor do they know about its capabilities.

But to be honest, the water lock feature in your Fitbit smartwatch can prove to be quite helpful. So if you want to know more about your Fitbit watch and its water lock feature then you have come to the right place. Now, let’s get started.

In this post, we’ll show you how it works and how to deactivate it if needed. Keep reading for all the details. Now, without wasting any further time let’s start.

What does Water Lock mean on Fitbit?

The water lock on Fitbit is a feature that helps to prevent water damage to the device. When activated, the water lock will create a seal around the Fitbit, making it waterproof and resistant to sweat. This can be helpful for those who swim or exercise in humid conditions. The water lock can also be used to take the Fitbit into the shower.

When activated, the water lock mode will disable all touchscreen functions and notifications. This means that you won’t be able to change any settings or view any incoming calls or messages.

The water lock is a great way to keep your Fitbit safe from moisture, whether you’re at the swimming pool or out for a run in the rain.

    How to Activate it?

To activate the water lock mode on your Fitbit, start by ensuring that your device is close to your phone. Then, open the Fitbit app and tap on the Today tab. Next, scroll down and tap on the Exercise tile.

Once you’re in the Exercise section, tap on the gear icon in the top-right corner. This will open the Settings menu. In the Settings menu, scroll down and tap on Water Lock Mode.

When you turn on Water Lock Mode, you’ll be prompted to enter a PIN code. This is so that you can deactivate the water lock later if needed. Once you’ve entered your PIN code, tap on Continue.

Your Fitbit will now be in a water lock mode!

    How to Deactivate?

If you need to deactivate water lock mode for any reason, start by pressing and holding the button on your Fitbit for three seconds. This will bring up the quick settings menu.

In the quick settings menu, tap on the water droplet icon. This will open the water lock mode settings. In the water lock mode settings, tap on Disable Water Lock Mode.

You’ll be prompted to enter your PIN code. Once you’ve entered your PIN code, tap on Continue. Your Fitbit will now be out of water lock mode!

We hope this post helped you understand how the water lock feature works on your Fitbit. If you have any questions, feel free to leave us a comment below.
